Visiting Teams - March 2020

Saturday 7th: Headwell Bowls Club.
Based in Dunfermiline in Fife, Headwell Bowling Club saw the delivery of the first bowl on its outdoor green on 6th September 1924.
During its 96 years the Club has seen a second outdoor green and then an indoor bowling facility added, reaching its peak membership of 250 men and 100 ladies. Sadly this has dwindled in recent years and the Club "mothballed" one of their grass greens to save costs.
2015 saw remodelling of the indoor center and renewal of their indoor carpet.

Following their successful and highly enjoyable visit last year, we look forward to welcoming them once again.

Tuesday 10th: Ted's Army
We know very little advance information about this group. We look forward to find out about them on their arrival.

Wednesday 11th: Harris Group
Coming with the Personal Touch, once again we have very little information about this group.

We look forward to welcoming them and enjoying their company on the green - and off it.

Tuesday 24th: Barwell Bowls Club

Another returning Club, Barwell were last with us in April 2018.
Based in Leicesteshire, Barwell Indoor Bowling Club opened its doors to the public in January 1988.
The Club has developed significantly over the years attracting a growing number of members. Considerable improvements have been and continue to be made in order to offer members first class facilities. Member satisfaction is a priority and something the club prides itself on
B.I.B.C. provides its members with a quality six rink green on which a range of casual bowling, leagues, competitions and inter-club matches take place. From beginners to more experienced players there is something for everyone. Coaching programmes are available for new members and a junior group provides regular training for the next generation of bowlers. The Club boasts a friendly atmosphere with a comfortable lounge area and well-stocked bar for the enjoyment of its members and guests.
